2018-2019 Season Preview

2018-2019 Season Preview

The Temple College men's basketball team opens their 2018-2019 season at home on November 1st against DFW Prep at 5:30 PM. The team is coming off eight straight years of qualifying for the region five tournament and look to build off the success of sophomores Sebastian Karwoski and Terreon Randolph who were both named NTJCAC all-conference honorable mention last year as freshman (2017-2018). Other sophomores that are returning include Jibrael Washinton who was fifth in country with a total of 101 blocks in season last year as a freshman (2017-2018), Curry Flowers who averaged nine points a game last season, and Sammy Brooks who shot 34 percent from behind the three-point line.

Coach Johnson (32nd season) and Coach Robson (3rd season) hit the recruiting trail hard last year and are excited about their very talented group of incoming freshman that include: Bryson Etienne (ranked 42nd in Texas for class of 2018), RJ Mason (ranked 54th in Texas for class of 2018), Tim Holland (transfer from University of Texas at Arlington), Kedrian Johnson (transfer from St. Peters University), and Kyle Slater (Fort Bend Bush High School).

TC's first real test will come against Navarro College on November 6th and Western Texas College on November 10th.
