Men’s Basketball Defeats Hill College, Kirby Johnson Gets 800th Career Win

Temple's head basketball coach Kirby Johnson earned his 800th career win in dramatic fashion in the Leopards 87-83 win at home against Hill College to wrap up regular season play. Temple's Kedrian Johnson drew a charge with under 10 seconds left to secure the Leopard lead. Johnson finished as the Leopard's leading scorer with 25 points. Two Leopards had double-doubles, Sebastian Karwoski scored 20 and grabbed 14 rebounds while Terreon Randolph scored 10 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Other Leopards with double-digit figures were Sammy Brooks with 13 points and Curry Flowers with 11 points.

The Leopards finished the regular season with a record of 24-6 and were 10-4 in conference. The Leopards will travel out to the Region V Basketball Championship at Moody Coliseum in Abilene March 7- 9 and will face the #2 seed from Region V West.  For championship information and the bracket click here.
