Temple's Kedrian Johnson rallied for a season high 42 points in the Leopards 87-79 season ending first round loss to South Plains at the Region V Men's Basketball Tournament in Abilene. The Leopards faced a 24-point deficit before Johnson helped bring the Leopards within four points with under two minutes left in the game, but the Leopards went cold from the field to finish. Temple's Sammy Brooks also scored 11 points.
The Leopards finished the year 24-7 overall and remain winless in the region tournament since 2005.
