2018-2019 (Freshman):  Started in all 17 games he played in last year for the Leopards until a season ending achilles injury left him sidelined.  In those 17 games he averaged 17.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and a team leading 38.3% shooting from the 3 point line and 4.4 assists per game.  RJ has fully recovered from his injury and plans to have another standout year.

 

High School:  A three year letter winner and two year starter at DeSoto High School; as a senior (2017-2018) Mason was ranked the 64th best player in the state of Texas for the class of 2018 and lead his team to a district champoinship and was awarded with the International Baccalaureate Certificate for his academics.  As a junior (2016-2017) he was named first team all-district, Arlington Classic MVP, and Whataburger Invitational all-tournament team.

 

Personal:  Son of Rodrick and Shawanna Mason...has two siblings, Brittany (30) and Taala (21)...plans to major in criminal justice...2018 graduate of DeSoto High School.
