ATTN: EX-PLAYERS OF COACH KIRBY JOHNSON
Coach Kirby Johnson is retiring after 43 years of coaching! He spent 10 years in the public school system, including 5 years as the head coach at Temple High School and the last 33 years as the head coach at Temple College.
There will be a reception honoring all of his ex-players (both Temple High School and Temple College) at his last home game on Saturday, February 22, 2020. These players will be recognized during the game, and a reception will be held immediately after the game in the Temple College Pavilion.
Please email Athletic Secretary, Alana Jones, at Alana.jones@templejc.edu and let her know if you can attend and how many family members will be attending with you.
Also, please help spread the word to all of your ex-teammates about this event and the date involved as we do not have contact information for all of his ex-players (cell phones had not been invented when Coach Johnson started coaching…LOL). We hope to make this a memorable evening for all involved, and we do not want to leave anyone out. Thank you in advance for helping make this event possible.
