Lenzi Stewart went 2 for 2 with a walk and run scored in the Leopards 1-0 win over Blinn College in game one of their doubleheader. Lindsey Taylor had the only RBI of the game. Dalilah Barrera threw a complete game shutout, less than 24 hours after throwing a perfect game, and struck out 12 with no walks.
Game two was also a 1-0 win with Karina Sanchez throwing a complete game shut out with seven strike outs and no walks. Haley Moore went 2 for 3 with a double, a stolen base, and a run scored and Stewart had the only RBI of the game. Kaitlyn Jones also hit a triple.
The Leopards are now 9-2 on the season and will be back in action when they host the annual Temple College Tournament at Lions Park in Temple February 23 and 24. The Leopards will open tournament play at 10:00 a.m. Friday against Labette Community College.
