The Temple College Leopards closed out their west Texas road trip with another pair of wins defeating Odessa College 5-2 and 23-12.
In game one the Leopards jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead when the second batter of the game, Lenzi Stewart, homered to left scoring Aylssa Escamilla who singled to lead off the game. Escamilla was 3 for 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base. Tiler Noyola was 2 for 3 with a run scored, a RBI, and two stolen bases. Bre Hernandez went the distance on the mound throwing all 7 innings and only gave up three hits, walked two, and struck out seven.
In game two the Leopards' offense exploded for 20 hits driving them to a 23-12 win. Maddie Weatherly went 2 for 2 with two walks, four RBI, four runs scored, a double, and a grand slam. Noyola added four base hits going 4 for 5 with three runs scored, two RBI, two triples, and a double. Savanna Parker and Daisy Gonzalez also homered in game two. Gonzalez also pitched three innings to earn her first win of the season.
The Leopards are now 7-2 and will be back in action in Conroe at the ScrapYard Friday February 8 against San Jac and Team Japan and Saturday February 9 against Galveston and Blinn.
