Softball Dominates with Two Run Rules

Tiler Noyola went 3 for 4 with five RBI, a homerun, and a stolen base and Morgan Doucet went 2 for 3 with four RBI and two homeruns in the Leopards 13-2 five inning run rule against Northest Texas Community College. Breanna Hernandez also added a homerun. The Leopards pounded out 12 hits in just four innings of work. Hernandez started on the mound going three innings, good enough for the win. Marley Hilton closed the final two innings.

In game two the Leopard offense continued to dominate in route to a 25-2 five inning run rule over Northwest Kansas Technical College. MacKenzie Purcell went 4 for 4 with a double and RBI, Kennedy Jimenez went 4 for 4 with a double and three RBI, and Maddie Weatherly went 4 for 6 with a double, homerun, and nine RBI. Ivelisse Moreno earned her first complete game win throwing all five innings allowing just two runs on two hits.

The Leopards are now 16-4 on the season and will open up conference play on Saturday March 2 at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. at home when they host North Central Texas College.
