Leopard Offense, Grayson Errors, Lead to Sweep

After one of the worst offensive outings for the Leopards in their last conference series, the Leopards exploded for 35 hits in two games in their sweep of Grayson College.

The Leopards took game one using an 8-run third, five-run seventh, and 19 hits to power past Grayson for a 16-6 win. Tiler Noyola, Savanna Parker, and Lenzi Stewart had three hits apiece to pace the Leopard offense. Noyola had a double, Stewart a triple, and Parker a homerun. Breanna Hernandez threw all seven innings for the win.

The Leopards rallied for 13 runs in the final three innings in game two to win 17-9. Grayson outhit the Leopards 17 to 16 but Grayson also made eight errors to help with the Leopard run production. Noyola led the offense again with four hits, four runs, two RBI, and two stolen bases. Maddie Weatherly and Daisy Gonzalez both homered in game two. Marley Hilton, Taylor Gruell, and Gaonzalez all shared innings on the mound with Gruell getting the win.

The Leopards are now 7-1 in conference and 23-5 overall. They will be on the road again at Weatherford College tomorrow with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
