The Lady Leopards sophomore from Killeen, TX and Shoemaker High School, Makayla Gatewood, was named Region V North Women's Basketball Player of the Week for October 28-November 3. Gatewood, a 5-10 forward, who totaled three double-doubles in all of her freshman year, started her sophomore year with back-to-back double-doubles to lead her team to a 2-0 start.
