Despite a slow start and a low scoring fourth quarter the Lady Leopards persevered against Our Lady of the Lake JV for a 75-74 win at TC Gym. Our Lady of the Lake came out on fire offensively and developed a 22-4 lead at one point in the first quarter. The Lady Leopards slowly chipped away and with 1:24 left in the first half took a short-lived 31-30 lead, which was their only lead in the first half. Our Lady of the Lake immediately took the lead back with a three-pointer and carried a 37-35 into the half. TC exploded for a 30 point third quarter and was able to hold on to win although they only scored 10 points in the final quarter of the game. Temple's Tia Tolbert scored 22 points to lead they Lady Leopards. Alena Johnston and Doriana Brown each had double-doubles, Johnston with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Brown with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Other Lady Leopards in the double digits were Erin Brumley with 14 points and Treazure Mouton grabbed 12 rebounds. The Lady Leopards remain perfect at 6-0 and will be back in action Saturday November 17 at 2:00 p.m. when they host Houston Community College.
