TEMPLE, Texas – Temple College Baseball picks up a 5-1 win over Howard College in Friday night's 9 inning game.

The scoring got started early in the first inning by a sacrifice fly by Clark Henry after Travis Chestnut, Joseph Redfield and Hogan Heller loaded the bases in front of him. Heller and Henry scored in the third inning after Simon Larranaga's fielders' choice and Zane Spinn's RBI ground out. The Leopard's offense was led by Caleb Hill who went 2-2 with a double, walk and run scored.

On today's win…
We had some really good pitching today by Hudson Luce and Hagen Rose. We came up with some timely hits and aggressive base running to push some runs across. We will hope to build on this in tomorrow's doubleheader.

On today's performance...
I felt good today and was able to locate my pitches. Defensively guys stepped up and made some plays to help get me out of innings. We didn't swing as well as we usually do, but we were able to capitalize on some mistakes and scratch across some runs which took some pressure off of me. Overall good win and we hope to pick up two more tomorrow.
