TEMPLE, TX – Temple College Baseball picks up a much needed series sweep over Hill College to move them tied for 4th place in the NTJCAC standings where the top 4 teams move on to the Region V tournament.
Wednesday Recap
A small porch and the wind blowing out is the recipe for an offensive explosion, but the Temple College pitching staff managed to minimize any potential threat keeping Hill College to 10 runs on the day even though the Rebels have managed to average over 10 runs per game at home. Mason Bryant, Dawson Tourney, Mason Brandenberger and Hagen Rose held things down on the mound. Offensively, the Leopards hit 4 home runs (Caleb Hill, Chris Morrow, Zane Spinn and Travis Chestnut) as they scored 13 runs throughout both games.
Saturday Recap
At home the Leopards kept applying pressure offensively as they scored 19 runs on 21 hits with a huge 8 run 3rd inning in Game 1 of the doubleheader.
A complete game by Davis Pratt helped save the bullpen for Game 2. Davis Pratt threw 6IP allowing only 3 hits and 1 run.
Dash Albus got the nod in Game 2 and threw 5 innings only allowing 1 run on 4 hits which gave the offense enough time to build a 6-1 lead as Mason Brandenberger and Hagen Rose closed out the last 4 innings in relief to secure the series sweep for the Leopards.

On this week's series…
This was the most complete series that we have played all year. We had a lot of enthusiasm and kept the momentum all week long. It was good to get a good complete series from the whole team with different guys stepping up.
Zane Spinn, Sophomore Infielder
On this week's series…
We know what has to be done and I feel like the whole team is expecting to win. Good defense and good offense has made up the difference. We have stopped early leads defensively and have added early leads at the plate which is a pretty good combination for success.
