TEMPLE, Texas – Three Leopards were honored with All-Conference awards concluding the conference season.
The Leopards finished 2nd in the NTJCAC standings as they finished 22-10 which is the best conference finish since 2013. Overall the Leopards finished 35-19 on the year with Garrett Baumann, Cade Climie and Luis Martinez-Gomez being standouts based on their performance throughout the year and named to the NTJCAC All-Conference team.
The Players Selected:
Garrett Baumann - RHP - 2nd Team Pitcher
Conference: threw 31.1 innings, 41 strikeouts, 3 wins, 2.30 ERA and .189 BAA
Overall: threw 47 innings, 60 strikeouts, 4 wins, 1 save, 3.06 ERA and .213 BAA
Cade Climie - 3B - 2nd Team Third Base
Conference: batted .371 with 8 doubles, 7 home runs, 35 RBI and a .458 OBP
Overall: batted .358 with 11 doubles, 8 home runs, 40 RBI and a .448 OBP
Luis Martinez-Gomez - RHP - 2nd Team Pitcher
Conference: threw 40.2 innings, 30 strikeouts, 7 wins, 2.88 ERA and .190 BAA
Overall: threw 63.2 innings, 56 strikeouts, 7 wins, 2.83 ERA and .199 BAA
