Big Inning Propels the Leopards Over Concordia University

The Leopards rallied for 12 runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie for a 13-2 win over Concordia University in Austin. The big inning started with Kaitlyn Jones being hit by a pitch and included nine hits, two for extra bases, and four walks. Three Leopards had multiple base hits in the game, Haley Moore with two hits, one double, three RBI, and two runs scored, Kennedy Jimenez with two hits, three RBI, and two runs scored, and Lindsey Taylor with three hits, one RBI, and one run scored. Dalilah Barrera got her first win of the season throwing four innings, allowing only one hit and one run scored. The Leopards were originally scheduled to be in Pasadena this weekend but that tournament was cancelled due to rain in the Houston area. The Leopards are now 5-2 overall and will be back in action February 16 and 17 when they host Blinn College and San Jac-South.
