Barrera and Leopards Perfect Against #13 San Jac

The Leopards used a five run first inning and a perfect outing by sophomore Dalilah Barrera to take San Jac 6-0 in game one of a doubleheader. Barrera, in just her second appearance of the season, pitched a perfect game with 11 strikeouts against nationally ranked San Jac. Haley Moore, Daisy Gonzalez, Lenzi Stewart, and Kaitlyn Jones each had two hits. Gonzalez doubled, Jones tripled, and Stewart accounted for three of the RBI.

In game two TC's sophomore pitcher Karina Sanchez threw a complete game shutout, and the Leopards pounded out 10 hits, to run rule San Jac 8-0 in five innings. Lindsey Taylor went 3 for 3 with two doubles, Kelsie Murie went 2 for 2 with a triple and four RBI, and Jones went 2 for 2.

The Leopards are now 7-2 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. when they host Blinn College in a doubleheader.
