The Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference has announced its selections for Softball Players of the Week for March 19-25.
The NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week are Eileigh Whyte of Hill College and Kennan Nunamaker of Temple College.
A sophomore from Round Rock, Texas, Whyte was the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week after starring for the Lady Rebsls. She went 2-0 last week. Overall, she scattered 15 hits and allowed just eight runs through 14 innings of work. A lefthander, she chalked up 17 strikeouts while walking just one.
A freshman third baseman, Nunamaker earned the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week honors after turning more than a few heads last week. Overall, she batted .650 with three doubles, a home run and 12 runs batted in. She also scored 12 runs and recorded a stolen base.
