Game 1:
Adelyn Becerra hit two home runs and drove in five as Temple College defeated Cowley 12-4 on Sunday. Becerra homered in the first and third innings.
Temple College scored eight runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Becerra homered to right field, scoring two runs, Alyssa Budisalovich singled, scoring one run, Maveryck Lightfoot doubled, scoring one run, Elise Munoz singled, scoring one run, Bre Jackson singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
The Leopards added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hannah Wiggins singled, and Jackson grounded out, each scoring one run.
Cowley scored two runs in the top of the third on a home run to right field.
Temple College added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Becerra homered to center field, and Cowley committed an error, each scoring one run.
Haley Crawford started the game for Temple College. They allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Audrie Sayas appeared in relief for Temple College.
The Leopards accumulated 11 hits in the game. Becerra and Jackson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Temple College while hitting back-to-back. The Leopards stole three bases in the game.
Game 2:
The Leopards were triumphant over Cowley 8-3 on Sunday at Temple College.
Cowley opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles.
Temple College tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a double by Channing Lipe, and a sacrifice fly by Elise Munoz.
Cowley took the lead in the top of the third. Audrie Sayas induced a fielder's choice, but one run scored, to give Cowley the edge, 3-2.
In the bottom of the third inning, Temple College went back into the lead after Emily Delgado singled scoring one run.
Sayas stepped in the circle first for Temple College. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking none. Delgado threw 4 shutout innings for Temple College in relief.
Adelyn Becerra and Delgado each collected two hits for Temple College. Lipe, Becerra, Alyssa Budisalovich, Anissa Hill, Delgado, and Munoz each drove in one run for the Leopards. Temple College stole three bases in the game.
