BEEVILE, Texas – The Leopards went 1-1 on the road this weekend in a Tri-Match at Coastal Bend College. This weekend takes the Leopards record to 11-12.
In a The Leopards fought hard however they fell short 1-3 against the Coastal Bend Cougars (25-18, 22-25, 18-25, 17-25). Despite the tough match, Co-Leopard of the Match Hailey Harris was able to come out with 11 kills, .611 hitting efficacy, and 5 blocks. Joining Harris as Co-Leopard of the Match, Kiyah Felder delivered 7 kills and 2 blocks. Other notable stats included Jade Smith (22 digs) and Justice Isom (21 assists).
In a thrilling 4-set match, the Leopards pulled out the victory with several career highs against the Our Lady of the Lakes Saints (31-29, 25-20, 29-31, 25-15). Receiving Leopard of the Match, Xaria Pickett recorded a career high of 21 kills with .292 hitting efficacy. Assisting Pickett, Regan Riggins logged a career high of 26 assist. Also receiving career highs: Kiyah Felder (13 kills) and Hailey Harris (15 serving points). Jade Smith also recorded 27 digs in the match and Harris with 6 blocks.
They will return to conference play Tuesday, September 28th at home against Cisco College. Then they will travel to North Central Texas College on Thursday, September 30th.
