Rachel Melancon is entering her season as a head coach of the Temple College Leopard Volleyball program.
Rachel grew up in Central Texas learning to love and play the game of volleyball. In 2021 she left teaching and coaching in public schools and began coaching club with Waco Juniors and doing private lessons with a range of athletes from college to elementary ages.
From 2014-2021 she was the Head Volleyball and Head Track coach at Troy High School. In the short time as a head coach at Troy, she collected 174 wins and grew a program from 13 wins a season to an average of 32.

Before moving back to Central Texas in 2014, Rachel Melancon spent 6 years helping to coach and rebuild the volleyball and track programs at Alvarado HS where they made multiple trips into playoffs and appearances at the Regional Finals track meet.
Her greatest coaching achievement is taking the first high school volleyball team in Central Texas to the State Tournament and being recognized by the State Representative of Texas, Hugh Shine in 2018.
